Colon Cleanse is a blend of all natural ingredients that was formulated to help the body in the detoxification process (which is essential for good health), while assisting the body's natural process of elimination without the need for other harsh laxatives. 

Aloe Vera contains organic acids, antibiotic substances, a protein containing 18 amino acids, growth stimulators, immune stimulators, and anti-inflammatory fatty acids. In addition, slippery elm bark seems to boost the output of cortin hormone, which helps send a stream of blood-building substances throughout the body. 

Senna Leaf has a long history as a laxative. It is a sweet, cooling laxative herb with a tea like aroma and antibacterial effects. It may be effective against various bacterial and fungal infections. Senna Leaf is the main ingredient in many laxatives. 

Oat Bran has long been known as a nutritive herb that aids in the process of digestion. It is also believed that oat bran acts as a tonic to the heart, nerves, and thymus gland. Studies have shown that, if used regularly, oat bran may help reduce blood cholesterol levels. 

Barley Grass is rich in essential vitamins and minerals such as potassium, zinc, niacin, vitamin C, beta carotene, and B complex vitamins. Medicinal uses of barley were first mentioned in the Ebers papyri (c. 1550BC), in recipes for laxatives and expelling intestinal parasites. Research in Japan, and other countries, suggest that barley grass may be beneficial in cases of gastritis & peptic ulcers among other things. 

Goldenseal has been used by native American healers for centuries, the Cherokee and Iroquois used it to treat diarrhea and flatulence among other things. Today, Goldenseal root is widely recommended for a variety of inflamed mucous membranes, including stomach, intestinal, vaginal, and rectal. It is used as a laxative, for hemorrhoids, mouth sores, diuretic, eye infections, acne, sore throats, to ward off infections, and as an antiseptic. 

The active components of Goldenseal include a group of alkaloids, hydrastine and berberine. These alkaloids are very astringent and help reduce inflammation of mucous membranes. These alkaloids also have antiseptic properties. Hydrastine has been reported to lower blood pressure and stimulate peristalsis. Berberine induces the secretion of bile and helps stop bleeding. In addition, a great deal of research has shown that berberine has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic activity. 

Prune Concentrate is a natural lubricant and laxative that contains significant levels of nutrients including potassium, iron, calcium, and beta carotene.  It has been used for centuries in cases of constipation and irregularity. 

Bentonite Clay is a mineral consisting largely of montmorillonite, and characterized by its high absorptive power and active colloidal properties. It has been found to be a highly effective lubricant.

Acidophilus blend is a "good" bacteria that inhabits the stomach and bowel. It is beneficial in a number of health situations, most of which involve digestion and bowel function. 

Acidophilus helps maintain a healthy flora, it successfully competes against the "bad" bacteria for food and space in the intestines; it is estimated that you should have 80-85% "good" bacteria to 15-20% of other bacteria, in order to ensure good health.

Unfortunately, antibiotic therapy can kill "good" bacteria along with the targeted "bad" bacteria. This can lead to other health complications, such as candida imbalances, which are often the direct result of the proliferation of drug-resistant "bad" microbes that are no longer kept under control. Bio-Perine® (BIOPERINE® IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK OF SABINSA CORPORATION) is a bio availability enhancing phytonutrient. In clinical studies, Bioperine, which consists of at least 95% alkaloid piperine from fruits of the black pepper, was evaluated for bio availability in human volunteers. The categories evaluated with and without Bioperine were fat soluble (beta carotene), water soluble (vitamin B6), a mineral (selenium in the form of Selenomethionine), and a therapeutically important ubiquinone 10 (Co Q10). 

The results of these studies show that Bioperine did enhance Bovril. Patients in the control group receiving the supplement with Bioperine® were found to have significantly higher blood levels of the supplement than those in the group who were receiving the supplement with a placebo. The group receiving Bioperine® had a 60% increase in blood beta carotene levels as compared to the group receiving beta carotene with placebo. The group receiving Bioperine® had an increase of over 60% in blood levels of B6 and increases of 30% in both selenium and Co Q10 as compared to those receiving the supplement plus placebo. 

How much should I take?
